Your children are a wonderful gift that God has entrusted to you. He has given you the opportunity and responsibility to build the qualities of godly character into their lives. One way that we acknowledge our commitment to be godly parents is through Parent-Child Dedication.

This is dedicating yourselves to be models of the Christian life for your children, not only on Sunday, but throughout the week. It is a commitment to teach your children the truths of God and His Word (Deut 6:4-9, 20-25). It is a recognition of the fact that your children belong to the Lord. Dedicating your children to the Lord follows the example of Hannah (1 Sam 1:26-2:10), Joseph and Mary (Luke 2:22-39). This does not guarantee the salvation of the children, but it does provide a wonderful beginning for their lives.
