Why did you initially come to EV Free?
Great friends invited Darrick and I to EV Free over 17 years ago when we were a young married couple. We loved the people and teaching from the get go and have been here ever since.
What is your role?
Director of Children’s Ministries. Anything having to do with children sixth grade and under I’m involved in. It’s an amazing privilege God has given me and nothing that I ever thought God would bless me with. He is an incredible God.
What was your reputation in High School?
I kept my nose to the grind stone with academics and sports. I don’t know what my reputation was and didn’t ever think about it, but I definitely wasn’t part of the in crowd.
What makes you laugh?
Nothing makes me laugh harder than my family: my husband, kids and my sisters. Growing up with three sister’s in the house, anything became humorous. To this day when all of us are together it doesn’t take much to set us off. In fact, my husband swears that my iq goes down a few points every time we are together. Beyond my family, Spongebob. Who thought of that anyway? Stupid movies and comedies.
Other than the Bible, what books have had the greatest influence on you?
I’m an avid reader so typically whatever book I’m currently reading influences me and challenges my way of thinking. I’m always looking for good books to read. R.C. Sproul The Holiness of God. Have you ever really thought about the Holiness of God and what implications that has on your own life? If you want to grow in your grasp of how truly Holy God is, read this book.
If you could have any super hero power, what would it be?
Superhero power, hmm Jack Jack from the Incredibles. He could do it all but no one knew it. I’d love to turn into a fire ball when I’m really mad at someone and drop like a anvil. Flying and being able to go through walls all while laughing. What a trip!
